Nature of the Blue Mountains is the inspiration for my work. Musicality is evoked by line, colour, and overlaying rhythmic forms. There is a sense of joyful wonder in Kate’s playful nature series of the Blue Mountains bush. These semi-abstract pieces are from direct observation and a felt sense of the landscape that Kate spends much of her time exploring.
