Biography

Within the 2 year period of curating and running Street Level the collective exhibited over 50 emerging artists. Then after this period of working hard for the benefit of new and emerging artists she began to turn her focus on creating her own work, holding her first solo show at Street Level in 1990.

After a period of further studies and travel Soady began her own business in the Blue Mountains, a retail store with a gallery attached. In this gallery she has shown local artists alongside her own work.

Since 1997 Kate has been showing and selling her work at Moontree on a regular basis. Kate in this time of her life after 20 years of running a successful business, parenting and teaching dance is now returning to a full time art practice and is looking to exhibit more broadly and delve deeply into her art.
