Nature of the Blue Mountains is the inspiration for my work. This semi-abstract painting depicts Australian native banksia. Musicality is evoked by line, colour and overlaying rhythmic forms. There is a sense of joyful wonder in Kate’s playful nature series of banksia with Australian Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo Tail Feathers
