Rhythm Landscape #44

Rhythm Landscape #44 continues my exploration of the movement and shifting light found within the Australian bush, scaled up to a more panoramic landscape format.

 This piece uses a mix of acrylic and oil stick on canvas to build a heavily textured, layered surface. The wider composition allowed me to stretch out the horizon, emphasizing the rhythmic, vertical canopy of white tree trunks cutting through a backdrop of warm ochre hills. There's an interplay of light filtering through the trees, with pops of soft yellow and subtle pink balancing the deeper forest greens and earthy tones.

The artwork is finished in a minimalist Tasmanian oak float frame, designed to complement the natural tones of the canvas without distracting from the painting itself. It arrives ready to hang.
