Spring Banksia and Honeyeaters #2
Spring Banksia and Honeyeaters #2
Nature of the Blue Mountains is the inspiration for my work. Musicality is evoked by line, colour, and overlaying rhythmic forms. This semi-abstract piece depicts Australian native banksia and white-cheeked honeyeaters, native to the Blue Mountains.
There is a sense of joyful wonder in Kate’s playful nature series of banksia.
Acrylic on canvas, 185cm x 95cm, oak timber frame, ready to hang.
