Treescape #28 is a new horizontal work that explores the rhythmic interplay of light and shadow within the Australian bushland. This piece captures the moment where the sun strikes the pale bark of eucalypts, creating a bold, graphic pattern.
In this painting, I leaned into a more abstract, gestural style. By using contrasting strokes of stark white and deep charcoal, I wanted to convey the vertical energy of the trees while weaving in hints of grey and cream the background. It is about the feeling of looking through the bush—where the landscape isn't a static image, but a layered experience of color and form.
