Kate Soady’s work captured my eye as soon as it popped up online, so we drove two hours to Leura to see it in person. I was so excited when we got there – not only did I see her beautiful artwork, but I also met Kate, and we toured her beautiful gallery. We commissioned a work from Kate – a huuuge and beautiful painting of incredible Blue Mountains native plants. The painting is wonderful – on its own and in its space in our home. AND (bonus), Kate was fabulous to deal with. She was open to ideas, spent loads of time with us, and made excellent suggestions. Kate was professional and not at all pushy as I ummmed and ahhhed my way through the process. Kate was really quick with her work. She sent updates along the way to make sure we were really happy. The painting was posted to us (at no extra cost) and it arrived safe and secure at our front door. I can’t wait to acquire my next Kate Soady. This time I’m going for a smaller one with those stunning black backgrounds.
